Shipping Policy
How orders are shipped, delivery timelines, and responsibilities.

Important: Please read this document carefully. By using the Bush House app or website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services.
1. Shipping by Vendors
Bush House General Merchants is a marketplace platform. All products are shipped directly by individual vendors. Bush House does not operate its own fulfilment or logistics network. Accordingly, shipping timelines, costs, and methods vary between vendors.
2. Shipping Fees
- Shipping fees are set by individual vendors and displayed on the product listing and at checkout
- Some vendors may offer free shipping for qualifying orders
- Shipping fees are non-refundable except where a return is due to vendor error
- Bush House does not add any additional shipping surcharges
3. Estimated Delivery Times
- Lilongwe (city area): 1–3 business days
- Blantyre & Mzuzu: 2–5 business days
- Other districts: 3–7 business days
- Remote areas: 7–14 business days
Delivery timelines are estimates only. They may be affected by public holidays, adverse weather, civil unrest, or other circumstances beyond the vendor's or courier's control. Bush House is not liable for delays caused by such events.
4. Delivery Process
- You will receive an order confirmation email once your payment is processed
- Vendors are responsible for packaging and dispatching your order
- Some vendors may provide a tracking number — this will be communicated via the app
- Risk of loss passes from the vendor to you upon confirmed delivery to your specified address
- If you are not available to receive a delivery, the courier may attempt re-delivery or leave a collection notice
5. Incorrect Delivery Address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at the time of purchase. Bush House and vendors are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the buyer. If an order is returned to the vendor due to an incorrect address, re-shipping fees may apply.
6. Lost or Damaged Shipments
- If your order arrives damaged, take photographs immediately and contact support within 48 hours of delivery
- If your order is lost in transit, contact support after the maximum estimated delivery window has passed
- Bush House will liaise with the vendor and courier to investigate and resolve the issue

7. Customs and Import Duties
For cross-border deliveries, buyers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the listed price or shipping fee and are not reimbursable by Bush House or the vendor.
